CDL Class A Truck Driving

Lake Superior College’s 11 week CDL Class A truck driving program consists of the following courses.

Online CDL Theory Course: This course prepares you to take your permit exam.  Your permit is required prior to any on-road training.

CDL Class A Range/Skills and Road Driving: You will learn how to maneuver a large combination vehicle in confined spaces, including backing skills on our driving range. Once you are proficient in the range/skills, you will finish with road driving.

CDL Class A License Test: The final component of the course is scheduling and taking your CDL drivers examination, where you will be evaluated by the DMV for pre-trip and road skills. One trip to the DMV as part of the course fees.
