Flight Review

Course Description: This training is provided for licensed pilots who need to meet the requirements of Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) 61.56 and includes one hour of ground instruction & up to one hour of flight instruction in a single engine aircraft.

Instrument Refresher with Airplane

Private Pilot Ground School

Course Description: This non-credit course covers basic knowledge and information to prepare you for the FAA private pilot airplane written exam.  45 hours ground instruction.

Schedule: Wednesday evenings 6 pm – 10:00 pm 14 weeks. 9/6/17- 12/13/17 No class Nov 22

Cost Detail:  Per student: $600

Includes materials:  flight computer E6-B, private pilot handbook, pilot handbook of aeronautical knowledge, and the Federal Aviation Regulations Aeronautical Information Manual 2018.

8 student minimum enrollment for the class to run.

Private Pilot 1

Private Pilot 2

Course Description: Local solo flight VFR (visual flight rules), night operations, and proficiency in private pilot maneuvers to Airman Certification Standards (ACS). Curriculum is based on Lake Superior College 141 private pilot airplane single engine land training course outline. Pre-requisite: successful completion of private pilot 1. Students are required to submit FAA 3rd class medical certificate prior to flight instruction.

Private Pilot 3

Course Description: Phase three of the Private Pilot Course includes Solo Cross Country flight, and review in perpetration for the Private Pilot Practical test. Pre-requisite: successful completion of private pilot 2 and completion of the FAA Private Pilot Written Exam. Students are required to submit FAA 3rd class medical certificate prior to flight instruction.

Survey of Flight

Course Description: Learn more about the world of aviation. This course covers the fundamentals of flight, basic flight skills, and may include a solo flight, if the participant is deemed proficient. Students are required to submit FAA 3rd class medical certificate prior to flight instruction.

Tail Wheel Endorsement

Course Description: To meet the training and proficiency requirements to receive a tail wheel endorsement. 6 hours ground instructions and up to 6 hours flight instruction in a Citabria aircraft. Pre-requisite is private pilot airplane license.
